He has been placed on IR and will be out at least until after the All-Star break. Joel Edmundson has a lower-back injury. He's progressing slowly and is out indefinitely. Mathieu Perreault has a lower-body injury and will be out for three to four weeks. Joel Armia and Cole Caufield exited COVID protocol and have returned to Montreal. Brendan Gallagher and Paul Byron are practicing in non-contact jerseys. Sami Niku cleared waivers and was assigned to the taxi squad. Corey Schueneman was assigned to Laval.
