  • Roster news - Joel Edmundson skated on his own at Brossard. Mathieu Perreault, Christian Dvorak, Ben Chiarot returned to practice. Tyler Pitlick will not join the team immediately as his wife is about to give birth. Carey Price did not skate this week. He continued to train in the gym as part of his rehab program. Ben Chiarot was placed on injured reserve. The Canadiens recalled Corey Schueneman from the Laval. It is likely that Chiarot will play on Sunday. The Canadiens acquired goaltender Andrew Hammond. Hammond was recalled from the AHL. Hammond will make his Canadiens debut against NYI on Sunday. Cayden Primeau was assigned to Laval. Michael McNiven was activated from IR and assigned to Laval.
  • Habs prospect report - COVID outbreak affecting the Laval Rocket. The 2022 IIHF World Junior Championship will be played in mid-August in Edmonton/Red Deer following the Hlinka Gretzky Cup. Be sure to read the content at AHL.report and check out The Press Zone - Montreal.
  • Habs news and notes: Trades & Hirings - Nick Bobrov has been hired as co-director of amateur scouting. Vincent Lecavalier has been hired as special advisor to hockey operations. The Canadiens traded Brandon Baddock to the Minnesota Wild for goaltender Andrew Hammond. The Canadiens traded Tyler Toffoli to the Calgary Flames for forwards Emil Heineman, Tyler Pitlick, a first-round pick in 2022 and a fifth-round pick in 2023.

  • The Montreal Canadiens acquired two key assets from Calgary in the Tyler Toffoli trade although their impact may not be felt for some time. Director of Scouting Jerome Berube from Hockey Prospect joins Amy and Rick to discuss prospect Emil Heineman and possible draft selections using Calgary's first round pick.
