Roster news - NHL released its 2022-23 regular season schedule for all 32 teams including the Canadiens. Montreal Canadiens announced the addition of four new team ambassadors: Guy Carbonneau, Vincent Damphousse, Patrice Brisebois and Chris Nilan. Canadiens selected forward Juraj Slafkovsky with the first overall pick in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft. The Montreal Canadiens traded defenceman Alexander Romanov to the New York Islanders and acquired forward Kirby Dach from the Chicago Blackhawks.

Habs prospect report - Laval Rocket signed forward Danick Martel to a one-year, one-way AHL contract. Rocket signed forward Brandon Gignac to a two-year, one-way AHL contract. Annual development camp will be held from July 10 to 13th at the Bell Sports Complex in Brossard.

Hockey news and notes: Avalanche GM Joe Sakic named the Jim Gregory General Manager of the Year. There were a number of NHL teams making transactions with Canadiens' connections.

Segment 2: BIG Topic - Draft Extravaganza

After weeks of speculation, the debate is over, the mystery has been solved and the Montreal Canadiens have made their choice: Juraj Slafkovsky was selected as the first overall pick. Kent Hughes traded Alexander Romanov and pick No. 98 to the New York Islanders for pick No. 13. Hughes then traded picks 13 and 66 to the Chicago Blackhawks for Kirby Dach.

We will discuss all of the Canadiens picks and the events of the Draft weekend.
